Peter Herrup graduated from Yale and earned his JD at Boston University. He is a long- standing member of the Yale Alumni Schools Committee, working with undergraduate applicants. For many years he was a senior executive in the advertising industry with Ogilvy & Mather where he was responsible for several of the firm's most prestigious accounts. He was a Presidential Fellow and worked at the White House as special assistant for domestic affairs to President Carter. He is on the Boston board of Summer Search, a national mentoring program for inner-city high school students, and served for six years on the Finance Committee for the town of Concord, MA.    pherrup@hma.cc

Associates

Harold Wingood is an Associate Provost at Clark University where he has responsibility for Undergraduate Admissions and Financial Aid, and institutional marketing. He has extensive experience in market research, higher education marketing, and administrative and computer systems. Wingood has also worked in admissions and marketing at Babson College, Tufts University, Duke University and Washington University in St. Louis, where he served as the Dean of Undergraduate Admissions from 1992 to 1995. He has a national reputation in the admissions profession and is known for developing innovative and ethical solutions for admission operations, university marketing and integrated systems. Wingood holds an A.B. from Bowdoin College and an M.A. from Duke University. With twenty-four years of experience in the field, he brings a rare and incisive perspective to what institutions must do to succeed in the higher education marketplace.

Paul Marthers is Dean of Admission at Reed College (OR). He has also worked at Oberlin College (OH), Phillips Academy (MA), Boston College (MA), Duke University (NC), Vassar College (NY), and Bennington College (VT). His articles have appeared in College and University, The Journal of College Admission, The School Counselor, InsideHigherEd.com, and a chapter in College Unranked (published in 2005 by Harvard University Press). Since October 2005, he has served on the editorial board of College and University and he frequently participates on panels at conferences and speaks to the national media about college admissions issues. Marthers has a BA from Oberlin, a M.Ed. from Boston University and a M.A.L.S. from Reed.
